I tend to avoid making huge proclamations of my beliefs and standpoints on societal happenings (good and bad) just because they are MY beliefs and social media has taught me that the best thing I can do is to keep doing my research and supporting my friends and brothers and family to the best of MY ability. I feel that my calling in these situations is more individual based. I can do more by reaching out to someone privately than I can by being dilligent via social media. It’s not that I don’t support awareness, I absolutely do, I just feel like I’m contributing more when I speak with individuals and let them know they have my support. A chief and Indians perspective if you will. I’ve also learned you can’t depend on your “friends” or “followers” to help you when you are really struggling; social media has the power to do wonderful things if 90% of its users were to use it for wonderful things rather than hate. It’s gotten to the point where people are hiding themselves and their voices because it won’t be the same thought process or opinion as everyone else’s, and that’s so sad because everyone is different and everyone is BEAUTIFUL because of the differences. I just wish people could love…but love everyone not just their own race or own religion or own sexual orientation. This world needs love.

It really breaks my heart to see so much injustice and pain in our society.
You can’t believe in freedom without believing in equality and you can’t have equality without justice for everyone. You can’t pick and choose when to fight for justice because if you don’t fight for everyone you aren’t truly fighting for justice.
